This is why we love Trent

'Not the parts that Atticus did. I know where a lot of his lyrics came from, because he didn't write them. When the day comes that I have to hire the flavor of the day to write my records for me so I can sound like what my records used to sound like so I can make money... stick a fork in me... honestly... and that's... I don't mean to sound like I'm on a high horse here but when it gets to that state, that's absolutely not what I'm about. From principle. I'll walk the highway before I start doing that shit, because music means a lot to me, and the reason for doing it means a lot to me, and whether you like NIN or not, or you hate this record or loved that record, I can assure you that I did it for the right reasons: I did it because it means more to me than anything else in my life. And I'll never put making money ahead of that. More than any other thing ever, I can sleep well at night – when I can sleep – knowing that I always kept that pure. My life I fucked up, my friendships and relationships I fucked up, my health I’ve fucked up, but I never wanted to abuse music like that. Does that answer your question?'

NBC Fall TV

Heroes
How great was the season premiere. I loved that we learned about most character and I loved that we only had skipped 4 months into the future and we are learning about everyone, what I didn't like was the introduction of the new characters (think Nikki & Paolo of Lost), I hated that we didn't see Mika or D.L. although we did see a glimpse of Niki in the opening monologue, this is one of my favorite returning shows, so I hope they get it together and we get to learn about the older characters (all of them), then focus on the new characters.
Bionic Woman
In an attempt to ride the wave of Sci-Fi mystery dramas, NBC has decided to release a re-imagination of the classic series Bionic Woman, at first the show is tantalizing and brilliant, but that quickly fades when you realize that the acting is mediocre and there isn't any fun…many things have changed since the original sneak preview, gone is the deaf sister, which I believed would have saved the show from me mediocrity…the pilot episode moved at near lightening speed and left me scratching my head, if not for repeat viewing and the ability to re-watch certain scenes then this pilot would be getting an F, but I'll go ahead and give it a C- and hope that it redeems itself throughout the season.

ABC - Fall TV

PRIVATE PRACTICE
Ok, So I totally faded in and out of Private Practice because it seemed so far up it's own ass I couldn't keep my head on straight. Although the story was really good I couldn't help but feel that Addison, was out of her element, I mean a Surgeon at a Fertility Clinic that's just too weird. Story wise I love how they add the element that they might need Addison in case something like that were to happen again (a slim to none chance). Hopefully this show will redeem itself in the coming weeks. * Also where is Merrin Dungey?

GREY'S ANATOMY
To say that I was disappointed would be an overshot. I wish Shonda Rhimes wouldn't have rushed the whole Dr. Burke/Dr. Yang conclusion so early in the season (I personally would have waited for a few episodes, making the first episodes about the new Interns, then following the next one with a Meredith/Derek reconciliation, then went into the aforementioned Burke/Yang dilemma). Another thing I thought we'd get over is the Gizzy situation, come on lets put that to rest already, it was better as a drunken sexual desire, nothing more, a mistake, or at least make it that Izzy is just having depressing sex since she lost someone she loved. Good show, bad episode, everything was going at lightening speed.

UGLY BETTY
So far the only show to not disappoint, I loved every minute, the FAT Amanda, the possibility that B. Meade could be her father, the thought of incest, of it was all so brilliant, a primetime soap opera...it was so delicious and left me wanting more. All this show can do is keep topping itself, brilliant.

For the Planet!

Evan Rachel Wood is a Slut

Even though she totally ruined Manson and Dita's marriage, I love the movie and soundtrack Across the Universe...even though it's a rip off of Moulin Rogue! only with Beatles songs and a different concept...it's still a good movie...

Publicity Stunt or Lapse in Judgment

Vanessa Hudgens playgirl in the making.. it seems that the pictures were too set up to be ‘leaked’ so I’m gonna take a few stabs at what happened:
  • Hudgens was tired of the prim Disney lifestyle and figured she’d make a clean break and try and start somewhere else, as opposed to taking the Lindsey way out.
  • Zac Efron was tired of all the gay jokes or his gay following so he decided to place the picture on the internets himself.
  • Vanessa and Zac weren’t going to get the raise they so desperately wanted to stay in HSM 3 so the wanted to sabotage their chances or working on the movie.
  • Or simply the pictures were taken and just happened to make there way onto the internets (which is highly likely considering that these sorts of things happen.)
Well that’s all I have to say about that, I figured I’d stop bugging my brother about this and post it in my blog.
BTW: Look for the Efron scandal coming soon.

Team Kanye or Team 50

Ok, so I've been going over this over and over and over...I'm not the type of person to do things because they're big and/or popular but I couldn't resist...so I went out and purchased both Kanye West and 50 Cents CDs and I can honestly say neither of them are the next step in rap or a reinvention nor rejuvenation of the fledgling art form known as Hip-Hop, the only one to do so thus far is Nas with his aptly titled 'Hip Hop is Dead'…which judging from these two CD, if it isn’t it close…this brought up the question: Was 50’s said retirement a publicity stunt to boost his sales? I’m going to go ahead and say that it was and it didn’t work because her released a lackluster CD, Curtis is like an artists introduction into an artform...barely passable as someone’s third album, very sophomoric …I hope he can rebound with a mix tape or something… while on the other hand Kanye’s CD Graduation is not masterpiece but it’s more complete than 50’s…so there you go my, my thoughts on Kanye and 50 Cent…
